    Join us for an empowering in-person panel discussion featuring leaders shaping the future of energy and the environment!

    This event, presented by the Council on Women in Energy & Environmental Leadership (CWEEL) and the Association of Energy Engineers (AEE) – National Capital Chapter, will highlight personal leadership journeys, challenges overcome, and valuable career advice from accomplished professionals across the sector.

    Whether you're a student, young professional, or industry veteran, this conversation will offer meaningful perspectives and networking opportunities.

    We're excited to introduce our panel:

    Brooke Bey Smallwood⚡️(Moderator) will guide the conversation.

    Rachael Nealer, Director at Atlas Public Policy. Rachael leads data-driven policy work on transportation electrification, climate, and infrastructure. She previously served as Acting Executive Director of the federal Joint Office of Energy and Transportation, where her team earned a 2023 DOE Secretarial Award. Ph.D., Carnegie Mellon.

    Jana Adams, Executive Director of Touchstone Energy. Jana drives programming that helps electric cooperatives strengthen relationships with their member-owners. She brings decades of nonprofit leadership across wind energy, public power, and the U.S. Chamber of Commerce. MPA, George Mason.

    Elizabeth Dutrow, Energy Consultant at ICF. Elizabeth led the EPA's ENERGY STAR program for industry through June 2025, engaging more than 800 corporations in energy management before beginning her next chapter as a consultant. Certified Energy Manager with a degree in chemistry.

    Join us for an exclusive, private tour of the Embassy of Sweden (House of Sweden) in Washington, D.C. This event offers a deep dive into Sweden’s aggressive decarbonization strategies, industrial green transitions, and the sustainable engineering behind its iconic waterfront embassy.

    Following the tour, the group will gather nearby for a networking happy hour to discuss insights and connect with fellow professionals.
