Gallaudet University Microgrid Tour

Gallaudet University Microgrid Tour

Step into the future of sustainable energy with AEE-NCC at Gallaudet University’s Microgrid Tour, an exclusive look at Gallaudet’s cutting-edge microgrid—a resilient, clean energy system integrating 1.7 MW of solar panels, a 1.2 MW/2.5 MWh battery energy storage system (BESS), and a 4.5 MW combined cooling, heat, and power (CCHP) plant.

Power generated by the microgrid meets most of the University's electricity demand and the system is designed to operate independently during grid outages. Electricity generated by the solar arrays is committed to the District’s community solar program, lowering energy bills for 400 local households. The tour is limited to 20 participants on a first-come, first-served basis and will be followed by lunch and Q&A with Gallaudet. Don’t miss your chance to witness how Gallaudet is leading the charge toward a more resilient and equitable energy future!
