Nationals Stadium Tour

Please Join our AEE NCC chapter for a tour of Nationals Park, where the 2019 World Champion Washington Nationals play their MLB home games.  Located at 1500 South Capital Street, SE, Washington DC.  The tour will start promptly at 11 am, please arrive 15 minutes early to accommodate checking in and entering the stadium.   We will meet at the Home Plate Gate at 10:45 am.

The tour will be led by Nationals Park staff, including the Manager of Mechanical Trades, Rob Gouldman.  Rob will be sure to include sites along the was such as energy system, the central plant, solar photovoltaic and other energy efficiency measures taken to reduce the stadium’s carbon footprint.

The tour could also include, as time allows, since we’ll be focused on the energy efficiency aspects: the FIS Champions Club where the Nationals display their World Series trophy.  Other potential behind-the-scenes stadium locations include experiencing a Major League clubhouse, the press box and other inner workings of a Major League stadium.

Lunch will not be provided, but our group will gathering at Walter’s Sports Bar (10 N St SE Washington, DC 20003) afterwards for additional discussion and networking.

Cost: $30 for AEE Members, $35 for non-members.
