GMU FUSE Building Tour

Fuse at Mason Square is a 345,000-square-foot development project that transforms the innovation landscape in Arlington. The facility offers students, researchers, commercial partners, and technical vanguard an opportunity to take part in an immersive atmosphere of ideation and innovation.

⚡ The building includes a vertical solar array, a high-performance building envelope and HVAC systems. It features an advanced DOAS system with sensible cooling terminal units coupled to advanced HVAC controllers. In addition to a 40% reduction (over code) in potable water use, it will also capture and treat stormwater via a green roof, and no potable water is planned for mechanical use. A robust platform of smart building controls, technology, and dashboards enables operators, researchers, and even tenants to learn from and influence the sustainability performance of the building. This digital innovation headquarters will meet LEED Platinum, and FitWel 2-star wellbeing standards.

🌱 The program will consistent of a brief presentation of the building design principals and then a behind the scenes building tour highlighting the building sustainability features.

🍷 After the presentations the group will head to Northside Social Coffee & Wine at 4:30pm for happy hour.
