Mike Dieterich is a LEED Accredited Professional, environmental scientist, bestselling author, and award-winning producer. Over the past decade, he has written policies and programs that support sustainable development. Professionally he works towards building a world where there is balance between profit, people, and the environment. Nationwide, he has helped communities and organizations find sustainable profitable solutions to complex problems.
Dieterich has been called upon as an expert for the US Congress, United Nations Climate Action Forum and has led conversations at Georgetown and Carnegie Mellon Universities. His efforts have been featured in The New York Times and various national broadcast outlets. His TEDx talk, “A Zero Energy Water Waste Future,” focused on the future of energy, water, and waste reduction and zeroing in our communities. Most recently, his second TEDx Talk “The Time to RISE” focuses on resilience.
Mike has completed a research fellowship with the National Science Foundation, Rice University, and
attained the following certifications: LEED AP, Certification in Environmental Impact Assessments, Green Advantage certification in Commercial Developments, Maryland Department of the Environment (MDE) Qualified Professional of Forest Stand Delineations and Forest Conservation Plans, ASTM certified on Phase I audits for commercial development, Building Performance Institute Energy Auditor Certified.
