Energy storage plays a significant role in the decarbonization of our grid; join us on April 22nd to learn about exciting advancements in this field.  Our speakers will introduce varying concepts of energy storage and discuss how different technologies impact energy management on various project types.

SPEAKERS

Albert Phan

Principal Program Manager, Smart Grid & Technology, Pepco Holdings

Albert Phan is a clean energy professional focused on solving complex problems and collaborating to build innovative, impactful solutions. Driving clean energy forward, he translates public policy and strategy into operational outcomes and customer-centric value.  He is responsible for leading Pepco Holdings’ energy storage initiatives to enable the seamless deployment, integration, and operation of energy storage technology toward a smarter, cleaner energy grid.

Trey Eaton is a sales engineer at Boland with a demonstrated history of working in the mechanical and industrial engineering industry. Trey will discuss thermal energy storage through ice storage systems and the economic and environmental impact these systems can provide. Skilled in Intelligence Analysis, Government, Operational Planning, Systems Engineering, and Organizational Leadership, Trey helps owners and engineers find innovative HVAC solutions that balance first cost and long-term energy performance. Trey earned his bachelor’s degree in Systems Engineering Management from the United States Air Force Academy as well as a master’s degree from Oklahoma State University in Industrial Engineering and Management.
