Have you set back your building during the COVID-19 quarantine? Come listen to Mike Dieterich discuss how he rolled out setbacks on a 10-building campus. Madeline Allen-Sandoz will highlight setbacks implemented at a school campus in Baltimore. Arvind Srihari will discuss re-opening buildings after the pandemic and how it will impact energy usage at different types of facilities. Come listen to some great resources for building management in these unprecedented times!
SPEAKERS
Mike Dieterich is a LEED® Accredited Professional, a degreed environmental scientist, adjunct professor, best-selling author, and award-winning producer. He has written legislative, school, municipal, and corporate policies and developed programs supporting sustainable development and resilience for the built environment for more than a decade.  Mike was called upon by the US Congress Energy Efficiency Forum to discuss energy efficiency applications, and by the United Nations Climate Action Forum to discuss sustainability and resilience and how these initiatives support the Paris Climate Agreement. His efforts have been featured in The New York Times and various national broadcast outlets. His first TEDx talk, “A Zero Energy Water Waste Future,” focused on the future of energy, water, and waste reduction and zeroing in our communities. His second TEDx Talk “The Time to RISE” focuses on resilience after large storm events.
 
Madeline Allen-Sandoz leads and manages the development of energy efficiency projects from inception through close. Her experience includes customer qualification, auditing buildings, identifying energy saving measures, calculating preliminary cost and savings, and coordinating with MEP engineers and subcontractors to competitively bid projects. By applying her skills and experience, Madeline provides Sparkfund customers with the most cost-effective solutions that meet their needs.

Madeline holds a BS in Civil and Environmental Engineering with a focus in Sustainability Buildings from the University of Pittsburgh. She has over 8 years of experience in the renewable and energy efficiency field. At Sparkfund, Madeline supports mechanical engineering and building operations efforts. Prior to joining Sparkfund, Madeline was a lead development engineer at Johnson Controls.

Arvind Srihari is a member of Sparkfund’s Business Development team. He is responsible for connecting key customers with energy infrastructure solutions that minimize cost and maximize reliability.

Arvind is a Certified Energy Manager (CEM) and a Certified Measurement and Verification Professional (CMVP) with sixteen years of experience in the Energy Management industry.

Previously, Arvind has held roles as an Account Manager, Energy Manager, Measurement & Verification Engineer, Building Automation Engineer, and Commissioning Engineer in the Metro areas of Washington DC, Baltimore and New York.

Arvind holds a BS in Mechanical Engineering from Madras University (India) and a Master’s Degree in Industrial Engineering with a focus on Energy Management from Oklahoma State University.
