SPEAKERS

Kevin Kampschroer is the Chief Sustainability Officer, and the Director of the Office of Federal High-Performance Green Buildings, in the U.S. General Services Administration. His goal is to influence and accelerate industry capability and adoption of high-performance principles across all aspects of asset creation, operation, maintenance, and disposal. Mr. Kampschroer has created the framework for which GSA responds to the challenges of improving a diverse and aging portfolio of commercial buildings so that they can serve the mission needs of their occupants, support effective work, improve occupant health, and deliver solid financial performance. He helps lead the project, Workplace 2030 – The Future of Federal Work, which is investigating the evolving nature of work, accelerated by our response to COVID, and its impact on the workplace. Kevin also leads GSA’s work to update the framework and the actions needed to deliver on the promise of the President to tackle the climate crisis at home.

Joe Eberly is a Certified Energy Manager who spent much of his 12 year GSA career as an Energy Manager in the National Capital Region. He now works in GSA’s Central Office’s Office of Facility Management and recently joined the newly formed Climate & Sustainability Division. That team is tasked with working to implement many of the new Sustainability and Climate initiatives across PBS’s programs and facilities. Prior to joining the new division Joe led the Targeted E4 Program that will be presented today. Joe aims to create a sustainable federal government, one that can continue to lead the American people in a manner that does not impede its own future ability to do so.
