

Amazon HQ2 Met Park Tour

Join AEE NCC for a tour of the Amazon HQ2 Metropolitan Park in Arlington, Virginia on October 25th at 3pm!
Our group will tour the Public Park, the Center of Energy (COE), and the Mechanical Penthouse. A virtual tour of the central utility plant will be provided as well.
We will be joined by several of the project’s engineering team members to discuss the design, construction, commissioning, and operations of the groundbreaking building.
Registration is open to all, but we will be limited to only 40 guests. Register now to ensure your spot.
We will meet in the public park “Central Green” area at 3pm and the tour will depart at 3:15pm. Parking is available on the street or in the building parking garage. Please wear closed-toed shoes.
Presenters:
Zach Deluke
Zach has 12 years of experience in the industry managing and executing the MEP coordination and commissioning. Zach grew up in the Pacific Northwest and received a Mechanical Engineer degree from University of Washington in Seattle, WA. He currently lives in Arlington, VA and leads EEI’s Mid-Atlantic branch.
He is an active member in the built environment community, receiving the 2021 BCxA 20 Under 40 Award and the ASHRAE Region III Shining Light Award in both 2022 and 2023. For fun, Zach enjoys traveling, playing music, rooting for Seattle sports teams, spending time in the great outdoors with his girlfriend, and playing with his dog.
Megan Lubina
Senior Associate Megan Lubina, PE, LEED AP, leads a Mechanical Section of GHT’s Interiors Studio. With more than fifteen years of experience in mechanical engineering and project management, she successfully manages design teams and production processes that are essential to our projects. Megan’s robust project portfolio includes large commercial headquarters, healthcare facilities, and institutional projects in the DC Metropolitan area.
As a Project Manager, Megan is passionate about solidifying client relationships. Clients and colleagues often recognize her for her enthusiasm, initiative, and seamless management of projects from kickoff to completion. When Megan isn’t presenting on mechanical engineering design concepts or completing a large corporate headquarters project, she enjoys training for half marathons and trying out new Italian recipes.
Brad McNiff
As an experienced Principal in GHT’s Building Systems studio, Brad McNiff specializes in delivering innovative, cutting-edge mechanical design for clients with aggressive sustainability and energy goals. He is a trusted consultant for providing efficient, ethical, and progressive building design solutions and relaying complex, technical engineering criteria in clear and comprehensible language. His project experience includes commercial office, health and life sciences, educational, mission-critical, and government projects. Brad is passionate about the decarbonization movement and has partnered with high-profile clients in the DC area to elevate the standard for built environments. His passion for sustainable design, coupled with his extensive project portfolio of LEED and WELL-certified spaces, has resulted in the completion of remarkable projects throughout the DMV region.
As a project manager, Brad empowers his teams to meet and exceed project goals and works tirelessly with clients to manage budgets and schedules. His adaptability and expertise allow him to advise clients as project goals are refined from the concept phase through design completion. Not only is Brad an excellent designer and strategic partner, but he is also a respected leader within the firm. His insight into the latest technologies and practices is instrumental to the firm’s position as a thought leader in the industry. When Brad isn’t presenting on the latest WELL concepts, energy codes, or working on high-profile building designs, he enjoys spending time with his wife Amanda and their children making homemade pizzas and spending time outdoors.
